INTRO- We all know “I AM affirmations”. They are used to speak positivity over ourselves. But have you ever heard of “YOU ARE affirmations”? - Affirmations that someone else is speaking over us? The only thing we have to do is relax, inhale, exhale and try to believe the affirmations. Isn’t that cool!?

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE BENEFITS?- Who needs that? - I would say everyone. In my teenage and young adulting years I didn't really have people speaking positivity over me. Especially not in my home. The older we get the more criticism and less compliments we receive. People are most of the time very vocal about things that bug them about a person than things that they love about a person. If our family, workplace, partner and friends are not that much expressive about our positive aspects, then where will we hear it from? It’s important to speak and get life spoken over ourselves. Imagine you have a constant voice that affirms to you that:

“YOU are enough!”

“YOU handled this very well”

“YOU are precious.”

Doesn’t it feel good to hear this? Isn’t that encouraging and motivating? Imagine listening to that voice on a very bad day. Wouldn’t that be soothing?

That’s why “YOU ARE affirmations” are popular. We ca just rest and lean back while being edified.

HOW TO INTEGRATE “YOU ARE affirmations” INTO OUR AMBITIOUS DAY- 1.Listen to music and podcasts that are encouraging and inspiring. Are the lyrics and words edifying and maybe even addressing you in form of encouragement? To a certain extend we are what we listen to.

2.Watch movies, series and YouTube channels that inspire you. There are so many “Pep Talk”- channels out there.

3.Take time daily to meditate and listen to the feminine joy affirmations. We have many YouTube videos and podcasts with “ YOU ARE affirmations”. Have a voice in your life that frequently speaks positively over you.

4.Take a look at the people around you. Your environment. Are the people you spend the most time with positive and loving? Do they encourage you frequently and speak positive affirmations over you? Would you say that you rather have a supporting community or rather a jealous and no caring one?

If your answer was a non supportive community I have to break it to you: This is no environment you can thrive in. It’s rather draining out all the work of self care that you did through affirmations. I’m the more radical type and I would distance myself. But I know that sometimes the circumstances are not ideal for that and that some of us just don’t like losing people. So that’s ok. Everyone is responsible for their own live and the company that they keep. Maybe try to add more positive and supporting people to your life.

Be open and start light conversations. Be bubbly if someone approaches you. Maybe you find something that connects you in a short time and you both are open to exchange instagram handles. If you start to meet up you can lead by example. Speak in a positive, supporting and encouraging manner. Especially in the beginning of a friendship, the other person will start reflecting that behaviour.

IN CLOSING- Since we might not have that much free time a day we should make sure to spend it wisely. We are made for community and positive exchanges. Our free time should support us the most. So, if you want to try something else than I AM affirmations” give the “YOU affirmations” a try to make the most out of your self care and meditation sessions.
